Melissa Torres was named facility director at Commerce Transitional Center in October 2022. Previously, she was a facility director at CoreCivic's Ocean View facility and the El Paso Multi-Use Facility. Torres began her corrections career in 2003 with Correctional Management Inc. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State College in 2002.
