Facility Leader: Hector Melchor, Facility Administrator

Hector Melchor was named facility administrator at El Paso Transitional Center in March 2018. Most recently, Melchor worked at the Child Crisis Center of El Paso, Texas, where he was director of Family Education and Prevention Services. Prior to that, he worked at Southwest Key Programs, a nonprofit in El Paso, where he served as a case manager, lead case manager and program director. Melchor was also a community supervision officer at the El Paso County Community Supervision and Corrections Department. He began his corrections career in 2005 as a juvenile probation officer at the El Paso County Juvenile Probation Department. Melchor holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Texas at El Paso and a master's degree in criminal justice from Michigan State University.
