Misty Mackey, Warden

Facility Leader: Misty Mackey, Warden

Misty Mackey was named warden at Midwest Regional Reception Center in March 2025. Prior to her current position, Warden Mackey served as warden at Lake Erie Correctional Institution.  Since joining CoreCivic in 2005 as a secretary, she has held a variety of roles, including as assistant warden at Whiteville Correctional Facility, chief of unit management at Lake Erie and assistant warden at both Northeast Ohio Correctional Center and Leavenworth Detention Facility. Mackey holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Community Activities

American Red Cross; Adopt-a-Highway; adopt families for the holidays.

Accreditation by the American Correctional Association (ACA) and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC); Leavenworth County Development Corporation Economic Development award; Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce Economic Development award.
