Phillip Valdez was named warden at Eden Detention Center in May 2019. Previously, he served as assistant warden at Cibola County Correctional Center. Valdez began his career in corrections in 1988 as a correctional officer, and has held multiple roles since, including correctional sergeant, shift supervisor, chief of security, assistant warden of operations, assistant warden, and warden.
