Rafael Vergara was named Warden at Adams County Correctional Center in September 2025. He previously served nearly 24 years with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in roles such as Correctional Officer, Inmate Systems Officer, Correctional Counselor, and Associate Warden. Before this, he was Warden at multiple CoreCivic facilities in Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida, and Assistant Warden at Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility.
