Facility Leader: Debra Orr-Brown
Debra Orr-Brown was named facility administrator at Austin Transitional Center in May 2018. Previously, she was facility administrator at Corpus Christi Transitional Center. Orr-Brown joined CoreCivic in 2005 as program manager for the Modality Two Substance Abuse Program at Gadsden Correctional Facility. She was also program manager for the Modality Two Substance Abuse Program at Graceville Correctional Facility before assuming her role as manager of Addictions Treatment and Behavioral Services at CoreCivic's Facility Support Center. Prior to joining CoreCivic, she worked for Florida Addictions and Correctional Treatment Services, where she was contract program director and clinical supervisor for the Florida Department of Corrections Modality Two Substance Abuse Programs at Jefferson Correctional Institution and Wakulla Correctional Institution. Orr-Brown also worked as a counselor at Pace Center for Girls in Tallahassee, Florida, and at Natural Bridge Recovery Center in Woodville, Florida. Orr-Brown holds a master's degree in social work from Florida State University, and a bachelor's degree in English from Spelman College.
