Mario Garcia, Warden

Facility Leader: Mario Garcia, Warden

Mario Garcia has been warden of Webb County Detention Facility since July 1999. Garcia joined CoreCivic in 1987 as a shift supervisor at Laredo Processing Center and was soon promoted to chief of security. In 1994, he was named assistant warden, a position he held until joining Webb County. Prior to joining CoreCivic, Garcia served as a mental health worker at the Charter Rio Grande Hospital and in a variety of security positions. Garcia holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Laredo State University and an associate's degree from Laredo Junior College.
