If you are familiar with Florida temperatures, you know they can be relentlessly high most days of the year. As such, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technicians stay in demand within this region of the country so citizens can enjoy air conditioning. At CoreCivic's Lake City Correctional Facility in Lake City, Florida, residents are acquiring these in-demand industry skills, preparing for what could be a stable and high-salary HVAC career within the region upon release. In fact, the national salary average for an entry level HVAC technician in the United States is $51,610, according to Indeed. Of course, graduates of this program should have ample and steady career prospects in the HVAC industry beyond just the southeast region.

The HVAC program takes 13 months to complete, with students earning an industry-recognized certificate upon graduation.
