Gender Diversity Brings Strength and Experience to CoreCivic's Board

CoreCivic | 3/25/21 8:00 AM

Strong, steady, sound – these are all words used to describe exceptional leadership. The CoreCivic Board of Directors exemplifies those traits thanks, in part, to the outstanding corporate governance demonstrated by our women directors.

Currently, 27 percent of CoreCivic's board seats are held by women. Donna M. Alvarado, Stacia Hylton, and Anne L. Mariucci each hold a seat on the 11-member board, which puts CoreCivic in the top 25 percent nationally for female representation. This designation has resulted in the company being recognized as a Winning Company by 2020 Women on Boards for four consecutive years.

Each year, 2020 Women on Boards, a campaign that advocated for women to represent 20 percent of corporate board memberships by 2020, recognizes companies that are hitting the mark in regards to gender diversity and inclusion. Since realizing their goal last year, the group has shifted its focus to promoting greater gender balance and diversity, rebranding as 50/50 Women on Boards.

In addition to CoreCivic's Board of Directors, the company continues to promote gender balance throughout its ranks with women holding 52 percent of positions companywide.

CoreCivic salutes women leaders everywhere and proudly supports increased diversity and inclusion in our nation and around the world.
