With strict protocols in place, CoreCivic held its annual Chairman's Charity Golf Classic on October 1, 2020, at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tennessee. Despite the financial impact brought forth nationally by the COVID-19 pandemic, the event raised $575,000 – funds that will go to a group of 29 nonprofit organizations in Tennessee that help support formerly incarcerated individuals, victims of crime and abuse, and underserved youth. More than $5.9 million has been raised for charity since the event's inception in 1991.

"It's encouraging to see that CoreCivic has the opportunity to give back over $500,000 to the Middle Tennessee community in the midst of a global pandemic," said Tony Grande, CoreCivic Charitable Foundation Chairman. "This event has allowed us to serve the non-profit community for more than 29 years now, and we are thrilled to provide our support this year too."
