Go Further Release: Supporting Residents Leaving Our Care

CoreCivic | 6/2/22 8:00 AM

Justice-involved individuals often need support once they’re released to find basic needs such as housing and employment. They also need someone who will listen and help them through the emotional and mental challenges they may experience upon leaving prison. In an effort to help those in our care succeed, CoreCivic launched Go Further Release, a program that helps residents leaving our facilities get back on their feet.

"They have the ability to succeed no matter where they’ve been or what’s happened in their life,” said Patricia Leal, a reentry coach at CoreCivic’s Go Further Release office in Colorado. “They can change. Sometimes having that support is what helps an individual grow.”

Go Further Release also has a companion mobile app called Pokket, which provides participants access to resources they need with the touch of a button.
