Education is a vital component to reentry programming, which is why CoreCivic found a way to continue those efforts while following all applicable health and safety protocols. To make sure those in our care were able to continue their progress towards graduating, CoreCivic educators created alternative learning methods, such as assembling study packets, helping 25 student-inmates at Hardeman County Correctional Facility in Whiteville, Tennessee, graduate with either a career technical education (CTE) certificate or a high school equivalency (HSE) diploma on October 9. By the end of 2020, more than 3,200 individuals will earn their HSE or CTE at a CoreCivic facility.
